Personal Trainer in a Box

February 10, 2001 (INB) -- Hiring a personal trainer has always been a luxury of the rich and famous - until now. Mr. Trainer has released the first, fully interactive, web-based personal training system, which includes VHS and CD-ROM video. Unlike static video workout programs, purchasers of this system continue to receive new, personalized workouts via the Internet.

"Lots of people would like to hire a personal trainer, but simply can't because of the expense," explains Matthew Beeners (aka Mr. Trainer), an ACE-certified personal fitness trainer with 13 years of weight lifting experience and a B.S. in Exercise and Sport Science from Colorado State University. "This system makes personal training affordable for anyone. Furthermore, purchasers can make use of most home gym and workout equipment."

The videos are separated into Upper and Lower Body specific videos, and are available on VHS or CD-ROM. Fitness-minded individuals can purchase the Lower Body or Upper Body VHS tapes for $14.98 each, or they can purchase the VHS Package Deal for $29.96. Upper and Lower Body CD-ROMs are available for $12.98 each or $17.98 for the package.

Like a personal trainer, the videos and CD-ROMs demonstrate the right and wrong way to perform exercises. The purchase includes a password so users can access the Members Only section of MrTrainer.com, where they will find "How-To" Photos they can bring to the gym as helpful reminders. In addition, the Members Only feature allows purchasers to quickly and easily choose workouts personalized to their particular fitness levels and goals. Many other useful resources are available at www.mrtrainer.com:

Exercise Tips:
covers topics such as how much weight to lift, how to treat sports injuries, whether kids should lift weights, whether to hold your breath while exercising and the best way to decrease body fat.
Muscle Locator:
allows site visitors to mouse over the name of a muscle group - such as "abdominals" or "trapezius" - and see exactly where those muscles are located in the human body via interactive anatomical drawings.
Free Stuff:
allows users to subscribe to the bi-weekly Mr. Trainer newsletter, featuring "Trainer's Tips" and "Doc Talk," which is authored by William Harrison, MD.
Members Only:

The site offers unlimited secure transaction processing for all major credit cards, or by check or money order.
