- What can these videos do for me?
Whether you're a male striving for strong, rock-hard muscles or a female working for a firm and shapely body, you need to lift weights 20 to 30 minutes, 2 to 3 times per week. As you may already know, it is the only activity that allows you to change the shape of your body. No other sport or exercise can do it!
When it comes to weight training, form is everything. Proper technique determines whether you improve; the amount of weight you are moving is never the measure of your success. This is the reason people hire a personal trainer and pay them an average of $40.00 to $95.00 an hour. However, not everyone can afford to pay their fees. Also, it can be difficult to chose a trainer who is qualified.
Now there is a great alternative- the Mr. Trainer videos. By purchasing a video, you can save money and get the instruction, support, and motivation you need to lift weights with proper technique using free weights (i.e. dumbbells) and machines.
Remember, people learn quickly when exercises are demonstrated. It is for this reason that I chose to produce videos instead of books. All you have to do is watch the same demonstrations I've been providing clients at my health club since 1996.
My personal guarantee to you is that you'll find no easier, faster, or more affordable method to learn proper weight training! Read a few success stories and testimonials by clicking here.
- Do I work out while watching the videos?
No. The videos are instructional only.
- Will the videos help me lose weight?
Yes! Weight training raises your metabolism (the rate at which your body uses energy) 24 hours per day by increasing lean muscle and decreasing fat stores. Although aerobic exercise helps to burn fat, when it comes to transforming your body, proper weight training cannot be beat.
- Do the exercises shown on your videos require any special equipment?
All exercises can be performed at a health club or gym. If you workout at home, please be aware that some exercises will require specialized equipment only found at a health club and that you will need dumbbells of varying weights. On a personal note, I highly recommend joining a health club or gym. They provide a motivating, clean, and safe environment with qualified staff and a ton of equipment.
- Do the videos demonstrate machines or free weights (i.e. dumbbells)?
Both, but with an emphasis on free weights. Although machines are useful, you can read why free weights offer the most benefit by clicking here.
- Will the videos target my thighs and butt?
Unlike traditional aerobic videos, where the workout is the same every time, an endless number of workouts can be performed using the Mr. Trainer videos. I demonstrate a wide-variety of the most effective exercises for every muscle group, and offer the videos separately by upper and lower body- you can target whatever areas of your body that need the most attention!
In addition, each video provides a password to the Members Only area which features workouts, "How-To" Photos, and other useful tools. All workouts are easily understood, personalized to your fitness level and goals, and feature printable charts that keep track of your progress. Email support from me is also included at no additional cost.
- Is there anything I have to download?
No. The videos are watched on your TV using VHS format, or on your computer (full-screen!) with the CD-ROM format.
- I've been reading the "Body for Life" book. Are the exercises in this book demonstrated on your videos?
Yes. Almost every exercise listed in the BFL book by Bill Phillips is demonstrated. Instead of just reading the illustrations in his book, however, many people choose to learn more easily and quickly using my videos.
- I have a sports injury. Will your videos help me to rehab the injured area?
No. The videos are designed for relatively healthy people without special needs or injuries. If you have any special needs or injuries, it is best to hire a local professional, such as a physical therapist or sports physician, to work with you directly.
- Are the videos available elsewhere?
Yes. In addition to this store, you can find them online at Amazon.com and at many fitness centers in northern Colorado.
- How can I contact you with more questions?
Simply use the feedback area! We'll respond ASAP!
